August is peak time in the garden. After taming some opportunistic squash, we gathered cucumbers, tomatoes, tomatillos, kale, beets and squash blossoms.
Then we ate them!
I know this is how it's supposed to be. I know this is the most basic, natural, unremarkable thing in the world. That's just how it IS. That's the whole point.
But it also blows my mind daily. I mean, this shit just fucking grows on plants. Out of the ground. And you can eat it! And you're all part of each other! And it's just so damn good! What!?
